The mission of Arkansas Better Dads (ABD) is to help men in the state of Arkansas be better dads. We do this through funding provided by a Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) grant. ABD also works with the Arkansas Department of Workforce Services (ADWS) and the Governor of the State of Arkansas. Arkansas Better Dads exists to inspire dads, provide instruction, and create opportunities for interaction with their families. The priority target population to be served by TANF-funded programs are TANF eligible low-income fathers who are US citizens and reside in the State of Arkansas. ABD seeks to develop and implement comprehensive approaches to promoting responsible fatherhood by helping fathers in diverse communities throughout Arkansas to succeed as providers, parents and partners.

Our goal is to partner with you as you help dads in Arkansas. You are on the front lines of working with dads around the state. When you partner with Arkansas Better Dads, you will have access to curriculum and training on Fatherhood, as well as, funds to facilitate small group interactions and activities for dads and their children.

Here is how you can partner with us. Determine what activity you want to offer in your community to help dads. Develop a proposal that includes what you will be doing, when you will be doing it and the budget you need for the project. Use the guidelines in the following document, along with the sample proposal and budget to complete your proposal. Once you submit your proposal to Arkansas Better Dads, one of our specialists will contact you. We look forward to working with you!
